Violence Erupts At Kaduna Music Festival

much publicised Kaduna Music Festival has ended abruptly as the event has been marred by violence, Premium Times reports.
According to the report, several people were injured today, December 13, as the event ended in violence.
Police were said to have fired teargas and shots into the air as some of those who attended the event reportedly engaged security
operatives in a scuffle at the event organised by the Kaduna State Government.
The violence reportedly started as the Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, gave his closing remarks to signal the end of
the event.
Some youths at the venue reportedly jumped on the stage and threw sticks and bottles at the police personnel. Their motive is not
yet clear as at the time of this report.
The musical festival organized by the Kaduna state government is designed to raise funds for the artistes.
But the official twitter handle of the music festival has denied the report. See their tweets below:
Which violence? Ecstatic crowd trying to see and go close to the artists were dispersed by securities. No violence.

attend the convocation ceremony of the Kaduna State University (KASU).
While declaring the event open, Buhari had thanked Nigerian artists for their tremendous contributions to the victory of the All
